Wedding Venue in East Sussex

The feel

To hire this venue for a basic wedding package will cost as little as £850, and you have exclusive use of the venue from 4pm the day before, the day of the wedding up to 6pm and time to clear up the following day. An evening reception following the wedding after 6pm will cost you a little more and can continue up to 11pm.

The Old Chapel Centre is a place of worship and not licensed for Civil Ceremonies. Wedding blessings are permitted where couples are already married and want to celebrate their vows. Our marriage ceremonies are conducted by one of our Ministers who will work with you to tailor your service in line with the Christian faith. With scope to choose your own readings and music your wedding will be a legal, fully licensed ceremony, making the occasion a unique experience for each couple who get married in our lovely building.

Civil Ceremonies are legally approved marriage ceremonies with no religious content, conducted by a Registrar.

Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and beautiful architecture. What an amazing venue. Beautiful place for a wedding. Every aspect of this place was simply perfect. The location is intimate and warm. Nothing beats the ambiance of the place and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. There was plenty of places for the guest to go and sit while waiting for us to finish taking pictures. The sound was great in the hall. The views were simply amazing. Very beautiful. We had a wonderful time. The team at the chapel are amazing and were so helpful and professional the entire way through and even on the day. Always on hand to give advice or help when needed. Lots of lovely hotels to stay in just a short walk away as well. The price is very affordable, but the location seems like it should be worth a lot more. The photo opportunities are plentiful and we got some amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. All and all, my husband and I were very happy with this venue and we are happy recommend it to all our friends for any event. All our expectations were met and then some.

Is the venue suitable for small weddings?

Yes, it works perfectly for both little and intimate weddings and those with larger guest numbers.

How many people can you accommodate for dining?

The chapel is ideal for small to medium weddings and can accommodate 80-90 people comfortably. Being in the middle of the village, 90 is our maximum capacity.

Are there bedrooms for overnight accommodation?

The chapel doesn’t have any accommodation but there are many wonderful places to stay in the village for budgets of all sizes from luxury hotels to lovely pubs and Airbnb cottages or rooms.
