Rebranding your social media may seem like a daunting task but sometimes your brand is in need of a refresh and it has to be done. Below you’ll find out if it’s time for you to rebrand, how to do it and what you should do in terms of social media.

Is it time for a rebrand?

Consider these questions when you’re thinking about whether or not you should rebrand:

  1. Has your business model changed? For example, you used to only sell bridal accessories but now you’re selling wedding dresses as well
  2. Are you gradually getting fewer and fewer enquiries? Take a look at all of the potential factors but your branding could need refreshing
  3. Do you have a unified brand image? If not, rebranding could allow you to sync all of your platforms meaning you appear as a unified brand

If you think you need to rebrand, keep reading!

How to rebrand

So you’ve decided to rebrand, now this may seem like a massive task so we’ve broken it down into sections for you to easily digest.

  1. First off, do some competitor research! Seeing what your competitors are doing will help you understand what your customers like and dislike.
  2. Think about your business and what it offers its customers. Consider who your target audience is and the problem that you solve for them.
  3. Start thinking about your brand identity! You get to decide on new colours, a new logo and your brand tone of voice. Once you’ve decided on these, you can then decide what social platforms you are going to use to promote your business.
  4. Set new business goals so you can truly measure the success of your rebrand. Make sure they’re SMART targets and revisit them after a month or perhaps a quarter to see how you’ve performed.
  5. Finish off by setting your rebrand live! Check your social handles are cohesive, you have updated your imagery plus your bio and announce your rebrand through a social post or email.

Simple as that, you’ve rebranded your business and can start to reap the rewards!
