Until the latter years of the last century planning a wedding in Kings Cross would have caused the eyebrows of maiden aunts to rise, as until perhaps 20 years ago it had a rather notorious reputation as a red light district. But as with so much of London it has metamorphosed of late, a situation helped by the Eurostar service having its terminus at St Pancras here, bringing travellers and their money to the heart of the area. There are two major orchestras based here too, symbolising the cultural regeneration that has taken place – the arts well represented in other ways, and eateries and bars in keeping having been established. The place for a modern wedding with a bit of energy?
