Haddington, now a small town with a pleasant setting by the River Tyne, may not be the major city of olden times, but it still punches well above its weight in certain respects. Not least of them is the plethora of fine buildings that give the place a very genteel and cultured atmosphere – not a bad tone to set for your wedding then! Among those architectural gems the lovely collegiate church of St Mary’s stands at or near the top of the list, the 12th century bridge close by a rival to pre-eminence, just two of the backdrops that your photographer may be excited by.
