The feel
Standedge Tunnel is the longest canal tunnel in Britain, situated in the beautiful village of Marsden, taking you beneath the Pennine countryside.
Idyllically situated on the banks of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, in the picturesque location on the edge of the Pennines, you will find the newly rejuvenated Standedge Warehouse. Part of the historic Standedge tunnel site, the 18th century, grade II listed, former transhipment warehouse has been transformed into a up-to-date, contemporary yet industrial wedding venue.
Standedge is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways, and its Visitor Centre makes a unique location for your wedding reception. Located on the first floor of the centre, the Thomas Bourne Room is a fantastic blank canvas for you to decorate however you’d like! There is capacity for 200 guests, with 20 long, trestle tables available for your use.
There are kitchen facilities available for cold preparation, storage and cleaning equipment, and outdoor areas which can be used should you wish to provide your guests with hot food.
For little ones, access is available to the soft play area, picnic area and wildlife garden.
You and your guests can arrive at the venue in style, with our water taxi boat to the venue from the car park.
