The feel
The National Piping Centre is a beautiful building, built in 1872 by the architects Douglas and Sellers. Regarded as an Italianate church with a distinctly Tuscan tower, it also has a mixture of Greek elements with a simple facade giving it a traditional yet modest look.
Greet your guests in style with a piper playing traditional celebration tunes to usher them in to the Pipers Tryst Restaurant or Museum of Piping before heading up the spiral staircases leading to the large ceremony auditorium. The large stained glass windows of the blue room provide an atmospheric and ambient location for your drinks reception.
The National Piping Centre is a superb setting for your Scottish ceremony, accommodating up to 120 seated guests. Ceremonies conducted with the auditorium can be civil, humanist or religious. With 8 beautifully designed adjoining bedrooms and several large hotels nearby your guests can party the night away to celebrate your big day.
At The National Piping Centre we believe that your special day should be as individual and personal as you both wish, therefore every booking guarantees you the guidance and support that you need to turn your dreams into reality! We are more than happy for you, along with our expert guidance, to design your own unique and perfect wedding.
Our management team is happy to meet with you as often as you like to ensure your day is perfect and memorable! Our wedding team would be delighted to assist you in choosing the correct décor for all rooms available. Flowers are a crucial part of every bride’s dream, and we can suggest a number of local suppliers which we have worked with in the past.
