The Guildhall

The feel

Housing the Banqueting Room, the finest Georgian interior in Bath, the Guildhall is an imposing Grade I listed building conveniently positioned opposite Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. The Register Office for Bath is also located within the Guildhall.

The Guildhall is an impressive setting for a ceremony and reception, the Georgian interiors and grand staircases make a magnificent backdrop for a wedding party. The large Banqueting Room is a fine, well-proportioned room, with beautiful Georgian decorative mouldings, original royal portraits and glittering chandeliers. It is perfect for a wedding breakfast and the adjoining Aix-en-Provence Room is ideal for drinks receptions or as a bar area. There is another room nearby that can serve as a crèche with the appropriate adult supervision. A short stroll away is the beautifully kept Parade Gardens which overlook the River Avon and Pulteney Bridge. These gardens are a lovely choice for wedding photographs if the weather is fine.
