The feel

With 38 individual gardens, professional staff and years of experience, Barnsdale Gardens can offer a wedding day that is second to none. The intimate ceremonies are held in a beautiful Paradise Garden, with its charming pagoda, sheltered conservatory and pretty water feature; guests are then welcome to sit and relax or stroll around the remaining gardens and take photographs. Having such a wide variety of garden styles we offer a multitude of stunning backdrops, whatever the season, enabling each couple’s personal style and individuality to shine through; from traditional family and group shots on manicured lawns, to romantic pictures in the Woodland Walk and tranquil Japanese Garden, or quirky ‘wheelbarrow and welly’ snaps on the Allotment (both wheelbarrow and wellies are available!)

Whether you are looking for a ceremony venue, a ceremony & drinks package or the perfect location for a reception, we have the space and the facilities for you. We appreciate that each wedding is unique; with this in mind our planning and packages are flexible, aiming to fit to your requirements, and we have sourced a selection of reputable caterers and providers of marquees and tepees. Our refreshments menus feature a wide variety of choices, from champagne & canapes to cream teas on vintage china, and our list of preferred caterers covers everything from tapas and Thai to traditional wedding breakfasts. Our suppliers include some of the best in the business and will ensure that the planning and execution of each wedding day is seamless.

A real bride’s story

Megan and Nick chose Barnsdale for their wedding, which took place in June 2014. ‘I’m not one to believe in “that feeling”,’ Megan says, ‘but having pretty much already decided on a wedding venue, we thought we’d browse the area for other options just in case. Within five minutes of being at the gardens I knew I was going to get married there. It was midsummer’s day- a beautiful June evening and the gardens were truly magical! No other venue could compare and we couldn’t wait to get married in the Paradise Garden this summer!’
