Almonry Barn is a brand new wedding venue and is unlike any other wedding barn as not only does it still retain plenty of historical soul and a picturesque setting, but it also offers a super stylish twist with vintage design throughout. The barns style is; ‘shabby charm meets city style with a twist of French chic’ – perfect for the style conscious couple.

The venue is unlike any other wedding barn as not only does it still retain plenty of historical soul and a picturesque setting, but it also offers a super stylish twist with vintage design throughout. Almonry Barn is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (the same historical league as the Tower of London) and has been standing for over 800 years. The barn was once part of a beautiful abbey – the ruins of which still stand opposite – and was used by the monks to give alms to passing travellers and pilgrims.

Receptions will take place in the main historic barn – which can comfortably seat 100 guests. In addition there is lovely bar area in the old adjoining stable block. The barn is perfectly situated for guests to take welcome drinks on to the outside terrace overlooking the tranquil stream and the Somerset levels, or to have a wander around the apple orchard enjoying views of the abbey and church.

Only 10 metres away is a Grade I listed medieval church that is available for religious weddings – afterwards guests and couples alike can take a short 1 minute stroll to the barn for the wedding breakfast. The barn offers two areas in the actual barn for civil marriages or civil partnerships.
