6 Wedding Venues in Troon found
Though its hosting of many Open Golf Championships may be the thing for which Troon is most famous, there’s a lot more about the place than just that aspect, with a few points of particular interest to the bride-to-be planning her wedding. For starters it’s easy to get to by train, by car from Glasgow and beyond, and by air, with Prestwick Airport just a few miles away. There’s an air of romance to the area too thanks to spots like the ruined Crosbie Castle and Church, along with some fine old (and more occupied) houses in rather better state of repair. And maybe even the Grey Lady who supposedly haunts the district adds a certain gothic cachet to the scene.
