The Welsh Canterbury, St David’s is however rather smaller than that religious centre in terms of population, with fewer than two thousand living in what is Britain’s smallest city. The cathedral church, the third on the site, is imposing if rather plain outside, and lovely within – the fruit of almost four centuries of labour only completed in 1572. It was here that the sixth century Welsh saint established a base for Christianity in the country – why not make it the place where you begin the rest of your lives together by selecting this tiniest city as your wedding venue?
