6 Wedding Venues in St Brelade found
Getting married by the sea is a delightful idea, but British weather can be uncooperative, and venturing to foreign climes can bring complications. Enter St Brelade on Jersey, where the weather generally beats the mainland’s into a cocked hat, and language difficulties are to say the least rather unlikely. And some elements of the place are more British than Britain, blending nicely with plenty that are more reminiscent of France – and in the case of the palms of the French Riviera. That seaside is very special too, with St Brelade’s Bay (just one of a good handful in the eponymous parish) noted for its excellent sandy – and sheltered – beach known as one of the best bathing (and sailing, and pedalo…) spots on the island. If you like a touch of romance (and as you’re getting married we hope that’s so) attaching to the place, consider the story of how the old church here was built some distance from the main part of the settlement because the faeries kept moving materials from a nearer site as the noise there disturbed them. Believe that and we’d be keen to discuss selling you some high value lucky charms!
