Historically Alveston has been something of a crossroads, town, the symbolism of which will not be lost on those thinking of it as a venue for their wedding. It was a coaching stop on the route northwards from nearby Bristol, and on the road east-west that led to the Severn ferries, nowadays supplanted by the two great bridges. This is a place with a wealth of history, too, this once being a royal manor no less, in medieval times at the heart of some great events – so worth considering surely as the place to hold another, namely your wedding?
