Escape to the country

If you are coming to marry in Loughborough from outside the town, then you are in a way following in historic footsteps, this being where the first package tour – organised by Thomas Cook of course – came. Your guests may be happier though if you left out following the temperance element of that famous event. And the town too has a vital place in so many weddings around the country and beyond, being where the largest bell foundry in the world – John Taylor’s – is located: their bells have been rung to celebrate couples marrying since the 18th century.
