1 Wedding Venues in Umberleigh found
Whether you’re stopping in Umberleigh or its surrounds, or marrying there, you can’t help but feel the breath of history on you here – this place was a royal manor a century and a half before the Normans arrived. The River Taw offers some lovely waterside walking, ideal for settling the wedding nerves, or just enjoying the setting, and the fine old bridge that crosses it adds to the scene. It’s always good to try to include a bit of a local touch in your wedding breakfast, but not all your guests may leap at Umberleigh’s speciality – a family concern farms snails for the table here. They are delicious, but sadly not every Brit is convinced still.
