Horsted Place Country House Hotel can provide a wonderfully romantic setting for a wedding at any time of the year. Three areas are licensed for marriage ceremonies – the warm and intimate Library which can seat up to fifty guests and the larger elegant Terrace Room which, with its French doors onto the formal gardens, is a most delightful choice for gatherings of up to one hundred.

For those couples who would like an open-air wedding, ceremonies can also take place on the lawn. Guests can be seated in front of the Victorian style summerhouse, where the register is signed, to await the bride’s entrance across the grass from the terrace.

The extensive gardens landscaped by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe make the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs. Winter weddings are perhaps the most romantic of all – log fires, candlelight and, at Christmastime, all the holly and ivy you could wish for!

Horsted Place is available for exclusive use for twenty-four hours which means that all our twenty bedrooms and suites belong to the wedding party on that night. We can usually only offer music and dancing if exclusive use is taken. Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.

These historic and beautiful buildings sit below Hendall Manor and its adjacent 17th century sandstone barn; the latter is used for holiday lets and short stays. Formerly at the centre of a dairy farm, all these redundant buildings were comprehensively refurbished between 2006 and 2011.
