Venue types in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury has a lot to offer those looking for a wedding venue. There’s history aplenty here, seen at the grandiose end of the scale in its castle and abbey; and at the more domestic in the many half-timbered buildings. There’s a lot of colour too, the town a frequent winner of gongs in the Britain in Bloom competition, and with the extensive park called The Quarry near its heart, still bearing the imprint of the great Percy Thrower. And of course there is the waterside of the mighty Severn, Shrewsbury nestling in a bend of that river crossed here by bridge after bridge.
