4 Wedding Venues in Ruthin found
Ruthin sits in and to a certain extent above the valley of the River Clwyd, stretching up and around a hill there. It has plenty of corners that make it an attractive and characterful spot, not least the oldest town house in Wales, dating from the mid-15th century, and its old gaol, now a visitor attraction. And of course it has a fine castle standing guard above the river, the remains of the original medieval fortress added to in dramatic gothic style in the 19th century. It has a legend of love too: King Arthur beheading a rival who dared to mention the duel they fought over a lady – even during your evening celebrations don’t even let your groom think about matching that one.
