1 Wedding Venues in Portsoy found
Portsoy, as the name would perhaps suggest, grew around its port, the buildings near those facilities testament to its age – some from the 16th century, some Georgian, some Victorian. The ‘soy’ bit of its name is said to denote the saithe, the fish also known as the coley. There is better eating – and drinking – to be had here than that, if you’re considering your wedding breakfast – it would almost be impolite not to think of the elixirs issuing from nearby distilleries. A nicely romantic local touch here too is the serpentine jewellery for which it is famed – maybe one for the wedding list?
