2 Wedding Venues in Newton Abbot found
The time when Newton Abbot, as the name implies, was indeed a new town is long past, as a stroll around its streets will quickly show. Forde House in the southeast part of the town hosted Cromwell, Charles I and William of Orange (not on the same night, clearly); and the older Bradley Manor at the opposite side rivals it in atmosphere. The rich history of the town is matched by the calorific richness of its annual cheese and onion fair, surely a nice local touch to work into the wedding breakfast? As the town’s maltings produces enough malt to brew (it’s said) 15 million pints of ale, and beer goes beautifully with cheese and onion, you have your toasts sorted too.
