7 Wedding Venues in Leighton Buzzard found
Surrounded by a wealth of fabulous great houses and with no shortage of pretty villages in the neighbourhood, Leighton Buzzard and the environs offer some tempting reasons to select it as a wedding venue. If you like quirky for instance, not only does it have a proper old-fashioned light railway, but every May it has a decidedly strange ceremony where a choirboy is held upside down while readings take place at an almshouse. The centre with its elegant market cross is another plus, and if you (or your intended more likely in this case) like omens how about the town’s (sadly now severed) links with the Gossard lingerie brand? Leighton Buzzard also has a very practical point in its favour – communications. With the M1 just a short drive away, a station on the main West Coast Line, and even the Grand Union Canal running through the town, it’s pretty easy to get to and from – and the proximity of Luton airport for a rapid honeymoon getaway may appeal too. Last but not least, if you’re marrying here and are stuck for a wedding song, how about Too Shy by Kajagoogoo, the 80s band that hailed from the town? Too old?
