Venue types in Halifax

On hearing the name Halifax most of us will immediately think of textile mills, of which there are splendid examples here, though Piece Hall, a trading centre for cloth outshines them. But the Pennine Hills that provide a backdrop to the place, and some stunning mill-owners’ homes to be found in and around the place, tell another part of the story, a legacy of the industrial boom. And if you are looking for some local touches for your wedding here, delight any kids attending (and plenty of adults too) with some Mackintosh’s Toffee; and maybe choose a number by local lad Ed Sheeran – though I’d go for Hold Me Now by the Thompson Twins whose Tom Bailey is a Haligonian.

Searching for your wedding venue is one of the most exciting and important parts of wedding planning. Your choice will shape your whole day, from the number of guests you’ll be celebrating with to the vibe and style of your wedding. Our wedding venue finder is here to make the whole process easy and enjoyable and will ensure you find the perfect setting to say your “I dos”.
