Greenwich has a wealth of history behind it, that history reflected in the magnificent legacy of beautiful buildings and other attractions in the district. It has of course thanks to its position on the River Thames a place at the top table of our maritime history, but was also for centuries a great centre for the monarchy – Henry VIII had his principal palace in Greenwich, the Stuarts made good use of it, and since February 2012 this is a royal borough, the fourth in the capital. So a place with regal depth and a bit of naval dash – just the stage for your wedding?
