Putting your signatures to your wedding document in Egham seems rather appropriate, given it was at Runnymede on the edge of the town that our most significant charter, Magna Carta, was sealed. Runnymede was once part of Egham Manor, now Egham is in Runnymede Borough. Your wedding day may not be commemorated with the sculpture and memorial that Magna Carta have here, but those sites and a few others – especially the banks of the Thames here – could provide intriguing backgrounds to some of your photographs. And the town’s links to some top marques of car – Lagonda included – could spark some ideas in future-hubby’s mind about suitable wedding vehicles – if you can find someone with an M45 Saloon!
