It would be a stern critic who could fault the setting of Drymen, with Loch Lomond to the west, the Campsie Fells eastwards, and the Queen Elizabeth Forest almost touching the village – unsurprisingly then the area is within a National Park. Drymen is within commuting distance of Glasgow, which makes it attractive as a wedding venue for residents of that city, but it’s a world apart in pace and feel, loved by long-distance walkers and those who just like a bit of peace and quiet. Add to all that what may well be the oldest pub in Scotland, and you’ve plenty of good reasons to consider it as a wedding venue.
