8 Wedding Venues in Caernarfon found
For a town with a population below the 10000 mark Caernarfon has a rich history and no less fine present. The very name refers it is thought to the Roman encampment here, Caernarfon translating to ‘the fort on the shore’. It was here too that the future Edward II was born and was proclaimed Prince of Wales, and that Prince Charles in 1969 was invested into that office. So marry here and you are walking in the footsteps of royalty. Of many tourists too of course – this is a pretty town, its square rightly renowned, the looming castle still impressive, and the little beach and marina adding a softer touch – helped too by the lovely views over to Anglesey.
