There is something special about a town with a castle in its midst, particularly one as lovely as Arundel Castle, the damage done by Roundhead troops repaired in style two centuries later. Unusually that splendour is matched by a relatively modern building, the 19th century Catholic cathedral built by Joseph Hansom of cab fame. There’s romantic riverside too, the Arun here slicing its way through the South Down, and some fine old houses. All the diverse elements combining to make a town of that rare quality charm, something that we would all surely want in our wedding – though we hope your groom contributes in that regard too!
