Arriving up the sweeping driveway is the first of many unforgettable experiences at this stunning Reading Wedding Venue. With its manicured lawns, gardens, picturesque lake and 250 acres of Berkshire’s finest parkland, De Vere Wokefield Estate, home to the 17th century Victorian Mansion House, has a special air of romance and a magical sense of seclusion.
For generations, this has been the family home of nobles, dignitaries and society’s movers and shakers. As you step inside it still has that homely feel, even after the £20 million refurbishment. The perfect backdrop for a wedding, the Mansion House offers much more than breath-taking beauty and historic grandeur.
The venue has a total of 376 bedrooms, as well as an 18-hole golf course, indoor swimming pool and gym for guests to use. The venue is fully licensed for civil ceremonies, with the Terrace Suite able to hold up to 300 guests, and the Palmer Suite and Old Lounge suitable for more intimate weddings.
