Conveniently located within an easy drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Newcastle, this secluded 50-acre estate offers an unforgettable setting for your special day. If you are looking for a one of a kind venue and a wedding that will wow your guests (and don’t mind the resident Turkey Alison crashing the party!) then Wedderlie is the perfect destination for you.
At Wedderlie, you and your loved ones will enjoy complete privacy, as the estate becomes exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Our standard hire spans three days and two nights, providing ample time to celebrate, relax, and create cherished memories. With the capacity to host up to 150 guests, the venue boasts a range of unique function spaces, including:
- Two beautifully restored rustic barns ideal for ceremonies and receptions.
- The Un-Stable Bar, a characterful licensed bar converted from three former horse stables.
- The Lodge Barn, a stunning new addition clad in timber sourced from the Wedderlie estate.
Accommodation on-site is both charming and varied, with space for over 50 guests. Options include the historic mansion house, a cozy country cottage, a converted hayloft, and modern log cabins, ensuring every guest has a comfortable place to stay.
The estate itself is a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding, featuring manicured lawns, enchanting woodlands, a rose garden, a tennis court, a beach volleyball court, and expansive views of the rolling Borders countryside. You might even spot one of the resident peacocks wandering the grounds!
