Rua Reidh Lighthouse offers a fantastic small wedding venue at a truly unique, wild, beautiful and peaceful location, three miles down a single track road at the “end of the world”. If you are looking for a small, intimate wedding with just the seabirds and dolphins for company under the wide skies of Wester Ross, then you have found your dream location at Rua Reidh Lighthouse.

The lighthouse was built in 1912 by the famous Stevenson family, and is still a working lighthouse today. The light on a still, starry night is magical and if your wedding date is in the Autumn, Winter or Spring you might even be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights as well.

We operate the lighthouse buildings as a small, friendly guesthouse and we are licensed as a wedding venue for up to 20 guests. If you’re looking for a posh formal wedding then this is not for you; Rua Reidh is a home and as such is comfortable, warm and laid-back – we will do everything we can to make you feel right at home with us.

Weddings can be a humanist, religious or civil ceremony and if the weather is good then many of our guests like to get married outside under the lighthouse tower or on the cliffs around the lighthouse. If the weather is inclement (it sometimes is in Scotland!) we have a large, airy conservatory for your use instead.

Accommodation is available for up to 10 guests at the lighthouse and we can arrange further accommodation at local hotels and B&Bs.

We can provide a delicious wedding breakfast using a first-rate local caterer, and as we do not have an alcohol licence you are welcome to bring your own to keep the cost manageable – we have no corkage charge. We can also arrange a local photographer, florist and anything else you would like to make your special day even more memorable – how about taking an exclusive whale-watching boat trip for example?
