Michelham Priory is set in the beautiful Cuckmere Valley of East Sussex close to the South Downs. Offering complete tranquillity, yet with easy access (and signposted by Heritage signs) from the A27 and A22, Michelham Priory is only 60 miles from London.

With a maximum of 25 weddings each year, and only one wedding per weekend, you are guaranteed privacy and flexibility together with exclusive use of the Great Barn and its private Moat Terraces, the perfect location for your drinks reception, affording your guests views of the Tudor manor house, historic watermill and England’s longest water-filled moat.

You will never find a more romantic and unique venue for your special day, with excellent service and an historic and peaceful setting.

The Great Barn enchants you with its original features yet offers a canvas upon which to stamp your own unique style. Comfortably seating up to one hundred and thirty for ceremony, dining and dancing, the Great Barn is flexible enough to allow smaller parties not to feel overwhelmed by space.

On almost any day throughout the year Michelham Priory is available for weddings and civil ceremonies in the Great Barn. Your guests also have access to the Historic House and the splendid 7-acre Gardens of the Priory during day time opening hours.

Fully appreciating that no two weddings are the same, we offer you the option to create a bespoke package for your special day and take pride in ensuring that your wedding is every bit as unique as you are.
