We have a variety of inside areas available to you but we are thrilled to introduce our NEW outside area, The Woodland Gardens!

Set within 6-acres of stunning landscaped gardens and steeped in 18th Century history, Makeney Hall is as idyllic as it sounds. With a number of areas that are perfect for your wedding celebration – you’ll be spoilt for choice!

The Milford Suite is our largest suite and a blank canvas to create your individual wedding. The beauty is, it will complement any colour scheme, from pastel palettes to bold colours. It can hold 140 day guests and 250 evening guests. The Milford Suite enjoys independence from the Hotel with its own grand entrance, bar, beautiful courtyard and 19 bedrooms for your nearest and dearest to retire to.

The Conservatory and Lavinia’s area lend themselves to natural themes and lovers of the outdoors, and those who wish to immerse themselves in the true history of Makeney Hall. This stunning, adaptable suite accommodates 64 day guests, or 140 guests in the evening. The wood panelled Lavinia’s room, with chandeliers and a grand fireplace, complements the more formal ceremony beautifully, and when combined with use of the open and airy Conservatory, offers a wealth of choices. Both rooms are licensed for a Civil Ceremony.

Our outside ceremony area, The Woodland Gardens is truly special, and our personal favourite; we hope you will feel, like us, it could be the perfect setting for your special day. Licensed for up to 120 guests and with bench seating your guests can be immersed in the beautiful gardens but with the bonus of a roof!
