The feel
London Canal Museum is a unique waterside heritage venue in central London. with capaacity for 120 seated or 200 standing, we host wedding ceremonies and receptions in a Victorial warehouse building that was built to store ice, and guests can peer down into a preserved ice well where ice was stored after arriving by water from Norway. The museum is on two floors, which lend themselves to different parts of the celebration. You can arrive by boat – how romatic is that? You can also choose your own caterer and buy your own wine – no corkage charges. Celebrations take place in the museum exhibition galleries against a colourful backdrop of the world of canals and there is some outdoor space beside the urban beauty spot that is Battlebridge canal basin. We can provide a range of additional services such as lighting, bar and set-up staff, audiovisual equipment and storage facilities before and after the big day. Dancing can continue until 11 pm. Although close to King’s Cross station we’re in another world, the tranquil world of canals, but your celebration won’t cost the earth.
