The feel

Set in a nineteen hundred acre estate and surrounded by beautiful parkland this historic house provides an idyllic location for your wedding day.

Recorded in the Doomsday book Knowlton Court was the seat of Bishop Odo of Bayeux, brother of William the Conqueror. The current house is Elizabethan and the front facade is Queen Anne (1715).

Knowlton Court is a magnificent home with great charm and character, privately owned by the Fox-Pitt family.

An enchanting avenue of Lime trees provides a romantic approach to the grand entrance gates and courtyard with its wonderful circular lawn and steps leading to the Great Hall.

The spendour of the Great Hall with its chequered black and white marble floor, walls lined with French and Felemish tapestries and a striking carved stone fireplace, offers the perfect setting for your marriage ceremony and allows seating for over one hundred guests.

During the summer months why not opt for an enchanting outdoor ceremony in the magnificent formal gardens.

Knowlton Court is now an approved open-air venue. The Pavilion has been unveiled! This beautiful piece of architecture, designed by the family

and crafted out of oak from the estate, is situated perfectly in the

formal gardens. Huge topiary hedges with intricate shapes surround the

entire garden making it a statement setting for your enchanting wedding

and one of the most romantic places in England to get married.

For your Wedding Breakfast the Great Hall can cater for a maximum of 82 guests with an additional 70 evening guests.

For larger weddings during the summer months; choose Knowlton Court’s

marquee, it’s designed to be adaptable to our clients requirements. The

model of high ceilings and curved ends is very elegant. The side walls

are completely removable, a unique feature perfect for summer

celebrations, a serene setting the marquee is positioned in The Great

Park overlooking the house, guests can enjoy a quintessential English

dining experience. The marquee is a perfect choice for a wedding reception.
