We are incredibly proud to be an award-winning wedding venue, having been recognised in 2026 with the Hitched Wedding Award for Buckinghamshire Venue, the Best of Bridebook Platinum Award, Highly Commended at the Guides for Brides Awards for Historic Venue, and Regional Excellence in the South at the For Better For Worse Wedding Awards.
But for us, it’s about so much more than awards. It’s about the feeling of arriving at the Kings Chapel and knowing you’ve found somewhere truly special.
We are Zone 9’s best wedding venue; at the end of the Metropolitan line and set in the beautiful rolling Chiltern Hills, we are the best of both worlds. We offer the perfect countryside wedding location, yet are only a stone’s throw away from London. Our 18th Century building sits proudly in historic Old Amersham, beautifully refurbished to bring together modern elegance with timeless charm.
We love the way our venue brings little and large together, from our breathtaking domed Main Hall to the finer details of our glittering chandeliered Reception Room. Whether you imagine saying your vows beneath the iconic cupola, on our elegant mezzanine balcony with sunlight streaming through the arched windows, or surrounded by your nearest and dearest in our intimate walled garden, we create the space for your day to feel completely yours.
With our tiered balcony seating up to 80 guests and our impressive Main Hall welcoming up to 120 for a delicious wedding breakfast, there is room for all the moments that matter. And with 34 bedrooms on site, plus a further 45 just 10 doors down at The Crown Hotel, the celebrations can continue long after the last dance.
Most importantly, we believe every couple deserves a wedding that feels like them. Our experienced wedding co-ordinators are here to guide you through every detail, while giving you the freedom to put your own stamp on our beautiful blank canvas.
