Irton Hall is a historic and handsome manor house in the heart of the western Lake District, and is perfect for weddings, especially since venues of this grandeur are extremely rare in this area. Over the centuries, Irton Hall has greeted many distinguished guests, including King Henry VI – and the same regal welcome extends to today’s wedding guests. Here you can hold your civil marriage ceremony, accommodate bride and groom, family and friends, entertain guests in lavish style – and enjoy the magic of an elegant, historic hall in breathtaking, beautiful surroundings.

Excellent entertainment amenities.

For entertaining and receptions, there’s an excellent restaurant, bar and lounge ideal for pre-wedding dinners and celebrations – plus there’s a wide range of reception rooms and dining rooms in which to hold your civil wedding ceremony and celebrations. There’s also plenty of room to accommodate those who want to stay overnight for a day or two – and the Hall has a choice of 15 beautifully appointed en suite rooms. There are also six comfortable self-catering properties on the Irton Hall estate.

Your very own marquee in the garden.

Irton Hall’s grand luxury marquee has everything required for a wonderful wedding, all within a single, self-contained environment. Spacious, light and airy, lit by chandeliers, and with large windows overlooking the lovely grounds, the Irton Hall marquee can seat up to 130 for a wedding breakfast and 180 for a non-seated evening reception, plus the civil wedding ceremony can take place in the marquee, within a special area set aside for the occasion. Additional options include a dance-floor and starry lighting to create the perfect party mood. Tables are presented to the highest standards, with fine linen napery, elegant tableware and decorations.

Spacious and lovely grounds.

Irton Hall has a magnificent 19 acres of landscaped grounds, which comfortably accommodate our grand luxury marquee, whilst also providing plenty of parking space and other amenities. In addition, Irton Hall’s gardens offer excellent photo opportunities for the wedding album, and plenty of space for children to play in; we can even arrange for a bouncy castle and other kids’ entertainments that will keep young ones happy on the wedding day.

You can benefit from the support and advice of Irton Hall’s own professional wedding planner – and there are several wedding packages to choose from, giving you choices as to your reception drinks, wedding menu and wine list, as well as table decorations, flowers and bar service. Irton Hall has an unsurpassed reputation for serving fine wedding fare, and you can be assured that the food served will meet and exceed your highest expectations.

Staying the night.

As well as providing the perfect location for a memorable wedding day, Irton Hall offers sumptuous and comfortable accommodation for the bride and groom, as well as for family and friends. Our 15 elegant en suite rooms are beautifully appointed to the highest standards, and include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, iPod dock, plus tea and coffee-making facilities. In addition, we offer self-catering suites throughout the grounds of Irton Hall, with accommodation catering from four up to 16 people.

Photographs and video can perfectly capture the magic of a memorable wedding day, and Irton Hall, as well as its grounds, grounds provides a fabulous backdrop for grand photos of the great occasion.
