The room can accommodate up to 80 seated guests, with additional guests able to stand. Moreover, the historic features and grand atmosphere make it a beautiful choice for a traditional castle wedding.

Licensed for wedding ceremonies, the Sea Room is perfect for smaller celebrations of up to 20 guests. Additionally, it offers couples the chance to enjoy a private and meaningful ceremony surrounded by Scottish history.

The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room is the Chief’s private Drawing Room and is occasionally available for weddings. This elegant space combines character, charm and historic detail.

For couples planning a smaller wedding party of up to 20 guests, the Drawing Room offers a more intimate and personal setting.

Outdoor Castle Weddings

An outdoor wedding at Duart Castle provides one of the most spectacular ceremony experiences in Scotland. Positioned beside the single cannon, couples can exchange vows while overlooking the beautiful waters of the Sound of Mull.

Alongside the incredible views, the castle creates a dramatic backdrop that guests will remember long after the day has ended.

However, outdoor ceremonies require a suitable backup option. Therefore, the Registrar will ask couples to reserve an indoor ceremony location in case of unexpected weather changes.
