The Devonshire Arms is the perfect country house venue for your dream wedding. Set within the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Bolton Abbey Estate, the hotel sits amidst 30,000 acres of natural beauty, courtesy of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The hotel exudes quintessential country house charm and character with cosy open fires and luxurious four-poster beds.

Your wedding day is all about you and at the Devonshire Arms we aim to exceed all of your expectations for your dream day. From the formal to the relaxed, we are happy to discuss your more specific requirements to tailor the day to you.

In order to ensure everything runs smoothly, your personal wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to assist from the very first enquiry through to the big day itself. Your planner will use their experience to offer advice on everything from wine lists to suppliers. On the day our team will ensure that everything is taken care of.

We can accommodate wedding celebrations from 2 to 90 day guests and evening receptions for up to 120. If your day guest list exceeds 100, our grounds are the perfect place to accommodate a marquee, tepee or even a yurt.

For a relaxing treat, our Spa’s facilities are there for you to refresh you ahead of the big day. Located in an ancient barn, the spa boasts a pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and therapy rooms.

With award-winning food, stunning scenery and outstanding service from our dedicated staff, The Devonshire Arms Hotel is the perfect wedding venue.

Do you cater for small weddings as well as large?

We have a 4 beautiful rooms where you can hold your celebrations, catering for weddings of 12 to 130. Our luxury intimate wedding package was created with smaller weddings in mind and have been extremely popular. The Clifford Room is most popular for intimate weddings, seating up to 30 guests, with antique furniture and stunning chandeliers.

Can we use the Devonshire Spa?

For residents, access is available to the spa from 2pm on the day of check in and until 12pm on day of check out. The bridal couple will receive 20% pre booked spa treatments, so you could have a pamper the day before your wedding to calm those last minute nerves! Please ensure all treatments are booked in advance.

What are the food options for our wedding?

Couples can choose one starter, one main and one dessert from a comprehensive menu created by our 3 AA rosette kitchen team. Individual wedding tasters can be arranged directly with the hotel on the last Sunday of the month (subject to availability). This gives you the opportunity to savour some of our fantastic tasty dishes. In the evening, many couples decide on a buffet or barbecue, or alternatively we do have some lighter options.
