Nestled in picturesque Scottish Borders countryside and amidst acres of beautiful private grounds, sits Cringletie Castle Hotel & Sutherland Restaurant, a place so magical that it seems made for weddings.

The House was built in 1861 for family life and the homely character of Cringletie Castle Hotel still shines through. Today, this B-listed Scottish Baronial castle combines splendour with contemporary luxury, creating an amazing venue.

We cater for very small, intimate weddings to large weddings, if need be in a marquee that can be erected in the grounds. Whichever you choose, we are here to help and advise you all the way from start to finish ensuring your dream of a fairy tale wedding day becomes a reality.

Ceremony

We have a number of rooms that are licensed for civil, religious and civil partnership ceremonies. It is also possible to have the ceremony in the grounds, either somewhere on the extensive lawns or in the 400 years old Walled Garden.

To enable you to enjoy the landscape we can bring the outside inside with our conservatory, giving you 360Ëš panoramic views while you commit to each other for the rest of your lives.

Champagne Reception

After the ceremony, our attentive staff will stand at the ready to cater for your wedding reception. Grounds and all public areas are available to the couple on the exclusive use basis. From champagne to canap�s, from some tears to heartfelt congratulations, this time of your day is a wonderful moment to share with family and friends.

A Photographer�s Dream

Our 28 acres estate also offers the golden opportunity for the most fantastic photographs that will create memories that will last a life-time.

The most magnificent setting for the Wedding Breakfast with a Feast fit for the temporary Lord and Lady of the Manor.

No room in the Scottish Borders is as stunning as our Sutherland Restaurant. The hand painted ceiling commemorating the marriage between Elizabeth Wolfe Murray and George Sutherland, the original oak floor and the warm velvet curtains, it all sets the scene for a wonderful time.

Our talented and award winning chefs will cater for your wedding breakfast with local and the freshest possible produce. It will be a tantalising feast for eyes and palate and it creates an experience that is not easily forgotten.

Evening Reception and Entertainment.

After the sumptuous wedding breakfast and emotions and hilarity of the speeches it is time for the evening reception. Our conservatory will be the perfect backdrop for dancing the night away under the stars.

To add some romance to an already perfect day, why not light sky lanterns and make your wish?

At the end of this fabulous day, return to your luxurious bridal suite where you can relax and relive all moments of your special day. Your guests are also welcome to stay at the House; we can accommodate a total of 26 adults in thirteen bedrooms.
