The feel

Carlton Towers is a privately owned Victorian Gothic-style English country house set amongst 250 acres of parkland in the beautiful Yorkshire landscape. Home to Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzalan Howard, Carlton Towers has been hosting weddings for over 30 years and has a reputation for ensuring that every detail is simply perfect.

Our stately home is licensed to perform civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 170 guests for your wedding breakfast and 200 guests for the evening celebration.

We offer exclusive use of the venue comprising three grand staterooms, 16 individually and beautifully designed character bedrooms, a minstrel’s gallery, bar, lobby, dance area and grounds. The spacious rooms are all en suite or with a private bathroom and in true fairy tale style the bridal suite is located in its own private tower. From glamorous to the serene, we can tailor the day to your specific taste.

The staterooms provide the most delightful ambience for any wedding reception and span 150 ft in length. The house offers ideal backdrops for photograph opportunities, both inside and out.

Your wedding will be organised and coordinated on the day by our experienced Events team who will carefully discuss your plans with you and check that every last detail is in place.
