The Magnificent Hall

Broughton Hall is a special and enchanting setting for your Yorkshire wedding. Situated in the heart of the treasured county of Yorkshire, the Georgian Grade A listed stately home is a fairytale venue for any couple looking for a spectacular setting for their wedding reception and celebrations.

As soon as you drive down the winding road into the Broughton Estate it will take you back to a world gone by. Broughton Hall has a wonderful homely and welcoming atmosphere, a perfect Yorkshire wedding venue for the more intimate wedding celebrations. Invite your closest family and friends to enjoy exclusive use of this luxury property set against the tranquil backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales. Your wedding party can gather for reception drinks in the warmth of the cosy red drawing room taking in views across pretty formal gardens or mingle out to the conservatory admiring the large unique wall painting hand crafted by a member of the Tempest family. Wedding blessings may take place inside one of the staterooms or we hold ceremonies in the Broughton Chapel on the estate.

Imagine becoming Lord and Lady of your private manor house for one magical night or even up to a weeklong stay. Smaller groups will dine in style in the Dining Doom and larger wedding breakfast parties can be seated on round tables in the regal inspired White Drawing Room.

Each of the 15 bedrooms, featuring en-suites or bathrooms has been recently re-designed to mirror the historical charm of the Hall’s impressive 900-year heritage. Each adorable bedroom is individually styled to make you and your guests feel completely at home in this grand stately home.

Utopia and Eden – the Perfect Match

For a Yorkshire wedding with a difference there is no place like Utopia; with its floor to ceiling glass windows and timber frame it encapsulates rustic chic in both its appearance and feel. Anything is possible for your wedding at Utopia on the Broughton Estate which comes complete with its own private red-bricked walled garden featuring landscaped rolling hills to mimic the sweeping countryside beyond. A terrace as wide as the venue itself invites wedding guests to wander through the garden paths with steps leading down to a large open patio and lawned area. Utopia can seat 100 for the blessing and wedding breakfast and a further 20 guests in the evening. We allow you to dress Utopia as you wish or let its natural charm take over; an inspiring wedding venue for simple to stylish wedding receptions.

Combined with Eden, Utopia weddings can become something else entirely. Once the ceremony, wedding breakfast and photographs have taken place guests take a short walk to idyllic Eden, a 17th Century converted barn also with its own garden and surrounding grounds, to celebrate into the evening.

A contemporary 6-bedroomed country cottage with vast space and light, Eden is a little bit of heaven to be enjoyed either for the full day in conjunction with a marquee (for 150 guests) or as a party house at the end of your very special day. For indoor celebrations the white walled interior complemented with brightly coloured furniture provides an open plan setting. Numerous double doors open into the Garden of Eden which features a large hot tub and cosy campfire for when the night really sets in. Wedding parties have the complimentary option to camp in addition to the house which sleeps 13 guests. A richly decorated dining room provides a twist on the modern country wedding venue, giving guests a taste of Broughton Hall for their stately breakfast the next morning.

We work with exclusive award winning Yorkshire caterers at Broughton Hall to deliver Michelin star catering suitable for any budget. We offer complimentary menu tasting and provide a complimentary wine tasting evening for all couples, where they can sample from a selection of over 800 wines.

Overnight wedding parties at the Hall can enjoy a traditional English or Continental breakfast. Guests staying at Eden have the option to take a leisurely stroll down to Utopia to enjoy brunch or lunch with the rest of their wedding party.

Broughton Hall Estate is located just outside of Skipton leading into the ever popular Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by vast parkland and woodland once inside the estate you could be a million miles from anywhere, yet Broughton’s close access to the main travel networks make it the ideal place for wedding celebrations:
