Assynt House is an elegant and intimate choice for your wedding day in the Highlands of Scotland. Only hosting a small number of weddings each year allows a completely bespoke approach. Owners Graham and Elizabeth have been hosting weddings since 2007 and are there to assist you with any aspect of your wedding, from recommending the very best wedding photographers and florists in the North of Scotland to taking care of the details on the day.

Assynt House is an exclusive use wedding venue nestled amongst countryside in the stunning Highlands of Scotland yet only 2 miles from the A9 and 25 miles from Inverness Airport. You and your guests will be exceptionally well looked after in this Georgian mansion house. Accommodated in luxury, the house has seven en-suite bedrooms to accommodate your closest friends and family. Enjoy a house party wedding weekend, where you have the time to enjoy this special occasion fully.

With food taken care of in-house by owner chef, Graham, he sources the finest local produce to create your wedding meal. Assynt House has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that your guests will enjoy. House Party weddings for up to 50 are catered for inside the house and there are Marquee and Stetch Tent options for larger weddings up to 120.

Is your venue licensed for ceremonies inside and outside?

You can choose to marry outside in the garden or in our wood panelled drawing room, in Scotland you no longer require a licence so you have the freedom to choose where suits you best.

Do you provide catering?

Yes, our catering is in-house and we work closely with you to create a special wedding meal. Your wedding meal is an extremely important part of your day and you can trust us to use the very best local ingredients and cater to any dietary requirements.

How many people can you accommodate for dining?

We can accommodate up to 14 guests around our dining table for an intimate wedding or up to 50 people in our drawing room. Marquee dining up to 120 guests.

Are there bedrooms for overnight accommodation?

We have seven en-suite bedrooms for you and your wedding party to enjoy, when you hire Assynt House for your wedding you have the exclusive use of the whole property.
