Review The City Rooms
Review by Geo. Stanley
"My Partner Vince and I held our civil partnership ceremony at the City Rooms on 8th Augsut 2008.
I first met Vicky back in september last year whilst looking for a suuitable venue for our celebrations. With no prior knowledge of such things, Vicky has taken us both on the most exciting, amazing journey of making plans and arrangments, ultimately culminating in the best day of our lives.
The city rooms is not only the most remarkable building in leicester for couples tying the knot. The staff there are truly fantastic, they're committed to making your special day, whatever it may be, go without a hitch, they absorb much of the stress associated with organising big events and make really useful suggestions for improving the day. As much as the day itself was memorable, the support and dedication of the staff there is second to none.
We will always remember with great affection the staff, the venue and the best day of our lives.
Kiran and Sharon should be extremely proud of their workforce, a truly special bunch of people, the chef makes the most mouth-watering, declicious meals imaginable and always seems so happy in his work.
In total we had about 130 guests throughout the day and without exception everyone had a fantastic day, thought the venue, the food and the staff, Vicky in particular, were remarkably brilliant and really contributed to the enjoyment of our special day.
we cannnot praise the venue or the staff there enough. If anyone is looking for a venue that allows the freedom to be unique, where the surroundings are steeped in history but remain clean and modern, the City Rooms is the place to go. The hotel rooms are luxurious yet not out of place with the rest of the restored building.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to the making our big day as special as it could possible have been.

"I attended a consultation meeting at 2pm on the 28th hosted by LCC to talk about the future of Leicester and safety in the City. We all thought the venue was superb. What a beautiful building fantastically restored and ideal for many different types of events. I will keep the City Rooms in mind (including the hotel section)when planning future work and family events. Thank you for your great hospitality."
