SILVER AWARD FOR TYLNEY HALL IN 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR

In a fitting tribute to its 25th anniversary year Tylney Hall won the silver award for Outstanding Customer Service in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2011.
The news was announced at the annual award ceremony, which took place at the Great Hall, Birmingham University, and follows the hotel winning the top gold award for customer service in The Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2010.
Out of 126 regional winners in 17 categories the luxury country house hotel at Rotherwick, near Hook, was one of 54 picked to go through to the finals of the prestigious award scheme run by VisitEngland and recognising the highest standards of excellence in the country’s tourism industry.
Tylney Hall originally nominated a number of individual members of staff for the award, but when judges visited the hotel they suggested all the employees working in customer services should be put forward as it was such a team effort.
Mark Ashton, Tylney Hall’s General Manager, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be selected from hotels around the country and some very stiff competition to win the silver award, and it couldn’t have come at a more relevant time as this is our silver anniversary year. It is a wonderful recognition of the team and their dedication to the highest standards of excellence in customer service, which is at the heart of everything we do and is what our guests have come to expect over our 25 years as a hotel.”
Jeremy Brinkworth, Head of Business Development at VisitEngland and member of the judging panel commented: “It has been truly inspiring to be reminded of the wonderful events, institutions, accommodation and people we have working within England’s tourism industry. We have been impressed with the level of dedication shown by each of the businesses to their guests as well as their local environment. This year’s finalists have raised the bar and it is fantastic to be able to reward this commitment”.
Tylney Hall is part of Elite Hotels, which won the AA’s first ever Eco Hotel Group of the Year award in 2010. Tylney Hall is rated as an AA Red Star hotel, the standard awarded for the highest levels of accommodation and customer service.
