Easy Hairstyles
Not everyone has the ability to pull off complicated hairstyles. No matter how many tutorials we watch, that tricky Dutch braid just never seems to look right! So, if styling hair isn’t your forte (don’t worry, it isn’t ours either) – these easy styles may be the solution to all of your hair related problems!
46. Basic Curl/Wave
Easy is an understatement. Using a curling iron (or a straightener if you’re able to), section your hair and curl until the whole head is done. For lasting curls, twist and pin them to your head for as long as possible. You can even achieve curly hair without heat if you don’t have hairstyling tools to hand.

47. Half Up, Half Down
Simply part your hair to your desired preference and tie up the top part for an effortless half up, half down hairdo. Add accessories or leave the front pieces of your hair down depending on the vibe you’re trying to achieve.

48. Twisted Bangs
Part your hair down the middle and leave loose two equals sections of hair on either side. Then, simply twist them anti-clockwise towards the back of your head and pin into place. Leave as is for a more sleek look or leave small pieces of hair out for a more effortless style.

49. Sleek and Straight
Again, an easy hair do to achieve, simply part your hair into sections and run a hair straightener over it until the desired style is accomplished. For a lasting style, spray hairspray on a hair brush and lightly run it through your hair.

50. Beautiful Blow Out
Slightly more complicated but it gets easier with practice, we promise! Using rollers (use heated for a more sleek look), section your hair and pin to your head, leaving them in overnight for a beautiful salon finish the next day!

Top Tips For Styling Your Own Hair
Now that we’ve given you an idea of some fantastic hairstyles to try out on your big day, you’re probably after a couple of top tips for styling your own (or someone else’s) hair. We’re not all hairdressers after all! Here our a few of our faves:
- Hairspray Is Your Best Friend – We all know how annoying it is when we put so much time and effort into doing our hair and then it all falls out after a couple of hours. Which is why hairspray is your best friend. Using a strong hold hairspray will help to keep those curls locked in!
- There’s A Tutorial For Everything – We live in a world where technology is top notch! So use that to your advantage and watch the many tutorials available online, we can guarantee there’s something for everything.
- Practice Makes Perfect – There’s a good chance you won’t get everything right on the first try, so practice as much as you can before the big day. We can’t stress enough how much this will help. And it’ll probably save you some time too!
- Choose Styles That Suit Your Hair Type – It’s no surprise that there are lots of different types of hair, from length to texture. The best thing to do is to pick a style that will suit your hair type. It’ll hold for longer and be easier to manage!
- Use Extensions/Clip Ins – For extra volume and length, lots of hairdressers and hair stylists use extensions and clips, especially for bridal hair. So take note and get buying, there’s stuff available from a wide variety of price points!
Some brides prefer to book appointments with professionals for their hair on their big day. But that isn’t within everyone’s mean (and that’s more than ok). You may even prefer to do your own hair for the occasion – and if that is the case, but you need a helping hand, keep these tips in mind. And remember … practice, practice, practice!
