The feel

Toklas restaurant & bar is located at 180 The Strand – in the heart of Central London, within walking distance from Covent Garden, Soho and the Southbank. The space is flexible and versatile allowing us to accommodate events with up to 300 guests. A sliding wall divides the restaurant and bar areas, creating distinct spaces when required. Our garden terrace is unique in central London.

With the entire venue fully licensed throughout for weddings, our hidden terrace garden is the ideal setting to host a wedding ceremony. Designed by Miria Harris, it is a Spring/Summer/Autumn retreat in the heart of London. The terrace has a retractable awning, outdoor bar and heaters making it comfortable under various weather conditions.

Below Toklas Restaurant sits the Toklas Bakery, which since opening has built a reputation as one of the best bakeries in the UK. As an addition to hosting your wedding, we are pleased to be able to offer the provision of your wedding cake and petit fours, handcrafted by the bakery team.

Our experienced events team have hosted numerous weddings and love the opportunity to work closely with a couple of craft a bespoke experience that matches their style and personailty.

Simplicity and flavour is at the heart of the menu. This approach allows our chefs to remain focused on the natural taste and aromas of the ingredients which are further enhanced through thoughtful preparation and open-fire grilling of our Modern European cuisine.
